Privacy Policy

RecruitedIB ("we", "us", "our") provides online investment banking interview preparation. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you visit our website, create an account, purchase a package, book a consultation, or contact us. • Account information: your name and email address, plus an encrypted representation of your password. We never see or store your password in readable form.
• Enrollment information: the package you purchased, any promotional code used, the amount paid, your access expiration, and your consultation balance.
• Payment information: processed entirely by Stripe. We receive a confirmation, an identifier for the transaction, and limited details such as amount and status. We never receive or store your full card number, CVC, or bank credentials.
• Study progress: flashcard mastery, chapters marked complete, and behavioral practice drafts you type into the portal, saved so your work persists across devices.
• Messages you send: the name, email, subject, and message you submit through our contact form, or send us by email.
• Technical information: standard server and security logs from our hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, used to keep the site running and secure.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

• To create and maintain your account and grant access to purchased materials.
• To process payments, apply promotional codes, and issue receipts.
• To save and display your study progress and consultation credits.
• To schedule and deliver consultations.
• To respond to your questions and provide support.
• To send essential service messages such as password resets, purchase confirmations, and important changes.
• To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, account sharing, abuse, and security incidents.
• To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

Where required by law, we rely on the following bases: performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the Service, your consent (where asked), and compliance with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it. We do not share your information with employers, banks, recruiters, or schools. We do not use your study progress or practice answers to make decisions about you outside the Service, and we do not send marketing email to you without your consent.

We share information only with providers that help us operate the Service, and only as needed:

• Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention.
• Supabase — account authentication and database storage.
• Hosting, DNS, and email delivery providers — serving the website and sending essential messages.

These providers process information on our instructions under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of RecruitedIB or others. If our business is transferred, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

We use strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, maintain your session securely, and remember study state so the portal works. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Blocking essential storage will prevent sign-in and progress saving from working.

We keep account, enrollment, and progress information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to support renewals and resolve disputes. Payment and transaction records are retained as long as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. Contact messages are retained until they are no longer needed for support. You may request earlier deletion as described below.

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls that restrict each student's records to that student. Passwords are stored only in hashed form and payment card data never reaches our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; protect your password and notify us of any suspected unauthorized access.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You may also update your name and email from your account, or ask us to delete your account entirely. To exercise any right, email recruitedib@gmail.com from your account address and we will respond within the time required by law.

Deleting your account removes your progress and access to purchased materials, and this cannot be undone. We may retain limited records required for legal and financial compliance.

We operate from the United States, and our providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your own. By using the Service, you understand that your information will be processed in these locations, with appropriate safeguards where required.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page and, where appropriate, by notice to you. Continued use after the update constitutes acceptance.
